Children of the Forest

This virtual exhibition is a time capsule that combines the work of seven designers responding to the theme of globalisation. It aims to explore some consequences of this phenomenon in 2022 from various perspectives, according to our diverse backgrounds and life experiences. 

My project, “CHILDREN OF THE FOREST” is a homage to the resistance of the Yanomami indigenous tribe. With the help of Junior Hekurari, the President of the Indigenous Health District Council, I designed this online visit to shed light on different aspects of the Yanomami reality in the context of globalisation - while translating words Junior taught me, from Yanomami to English. I hope to evidence the Yanomami's battle to survive the ongoing neocolonialism and their threat of extinction.
